Bio
After graduating in Physics in 1992 from the University of Pisa, with a thesis completed partly at CERN in Geneva, she continued her education with an INFM grant in the field of controlled thermonuclear fusion , starting a collaboration with the RFX Consortium in Padua. Since 1993, she has been a researcher at ENEA, where she worked on environmental modeling until 1999, and in 2005, she earned a PhD in Energetics from the University of Padua.
Since 2024, he has held the position of Research Director at ENEA. His scientific activity focuses on plasma physics and physics applied to energy production through controlled reactions. He has conducted research at the Max Planck Institute in Munich and collaborated with international centers such as MST in the United States and the LHD in Japan, and with the Joint European Torus tokamak in Culham, UK. Since 2026, he has been Deputy Director of the RFX Consortium.
An expert in the study of particle transport in helical and confined states on RFX-mod, she was a Task Force Leader and invited speaker at the American Physical Society. A member of international scientific committees, she has published extensively in industry journals.
