Patricia Azzi

Role

Senior researcher at the INFN, Padua Section; member of the CMS collaboration and physics coordinator of the FCC project at CERN.

Bio

After graduating in Physics from the University of Padua in 1992, he obtained his PhD in Physics in 1996. During the same period, he continued his training with postdoctoral activities at the University of Padua and the INFN, Padua section.

Since 2020, she has been a senior researcher at the INFN Padua Section. She has worked as a Scientific Associate at CERN and as a researcher at Fermilab. Since 2025, she has been the local contact for the CMS Padua group. Since 2020, she has been the physics coordinator for the FCC project at CERN.

His scientific work focuses on high-energy physics and particle physics , with particular attention to the study of the physics of the Standard Model, the search for new particles, and the prospects for future accelerators. He participated in the CDF collaboration at the Tevatron and the CMS collaboration at CERN, contributing to studies related to the discovery of the top quark and the Higgs boson.

In 2024, she was named a Fellow of the American Physical Society for her contributions to particle physics and leadership roles in international collaborations. She is also active in science outreach and promoting women's access to STEM disciplines.
