Bio
Graduated in Theoretical Physics in Turin in 1984, she obtained her PhD from Stony Brook University (New York) in 1989. After a research period at CALTECH in California, she returned to Italy in 1993 as a researcher and lecturer at the Polytechnic of Turin.
His scientific work focuses on theoretical physics , with a particular focus on quantum theories of fundamental interactions and quantum gravity . His research includes models with supersymmetry, supergravity, string theories, and applications to the study of black holes and cosmology.
She is a research director at the Turin branch of the INFN, where she coordinated the Theoretical Physics Group from 2015 to 2022. She has participated in major European projects and is committed to promoting gender mainstreaming in theoretical physics and science outreach, including through theater. She has been collaborating with Bocconi University since 2023. Her publications include over 60 research papers published in international journals and two specialized books in the fields of high-energy theoretical physics and mathematical physics.
