Bio
A graduate in Chemical Engineering from the Polytechnic University of Milan and a PhD in Industrial Chemistry from the University of Milan, she is a full professor of Industrial and Technological Chemistry at the Department of Energy at the Polytechnic University of Milan, Deputy Rector, and Vice Rector for Strategic Plan Implementation. She was Coordinator of the Chemical Engineering Program and Deputy Dean of the School of Industrial and Information Engineering.
She is internationally recognized in the field of catalysis and catalytic reaction engineering. Her research focuses on the development of catalytic processes and technologies for the environment and energy, with a particular focus on emissions control and the abatement of pollutants, including nitrogen oxides (NOx), produced by combustion systems. She also works on catalytic processes for energy transition and decarbonization, including hydrogen production and the conversion of COâ‚‚ into fuels and chemicals.
She is the author of over 180 scientific publications and the inventor of three international patents. She has developed research collaborations with leading international companies in the fields of energy, catalysis, and emissions control. She was included among the Top Italian Scientists and in the Inspiring Fifty Italy 2018 list of the 50 most influential Italian women in the STEM field.
