Elisa Poggiali

Elisa Poggiali is an expert in sustainable development, territorial promotion, and internationalization. Specifically, she has worked on implementing corporate and public administration management systems that prioritize environmental, quality, and safety considerations, as well as economic enhancement and development through the establishment of international relations (both in the scientific and economic fields) and the creation of knowledge networks to attract FDI (foreign direct investment) and foster the growth of regional businesses.

After graduating in Environmental and Land Engineering from the University of Florence in 2000, and specializing in Environmental and Quality Management Systems, in 2001 she joined the Agenda 21 Terre di Siena project coordinators team as an expert in Environment and Sustainable Development. From 2002 to 2004, she provided consultancy for Monte dei Paschi Bancaverde Spa on ISO 9001/ISO 14001 and EMAS certifications in the field of renewable energy (wind farms, photovoltaic parks, biomass power plants, waste management and recovery plants). For several years, she was a member of the Environmental and Landscape Evaluation Unit of the Municipal Building Commission. She subsequently worked on territorial marketing and attracting foreign direct investment in Toscana Promozione. In 2008, she was appointed to the Board of Directors of APEA (Provincial Agency for Energy, Environment and Local Development), a company with responsibilities and expertise in environmental and energy matters, later expanded to include economic development and European planning. Since 2021, she has coordinated the tourism sector associations and federations of the Tuscany Region affiliated with Confcommercio. As Head of Business Services, she also provides consulting and support in the areas of Environment, Safety, Hygiene, and Privacy to Confcommercio member companies in the provinces of Florence and Arezzo.
